Pre-Energy Audit
If you intend to start renovations, demolition of your home or install retrofit measures, please ensure that you have your initial home energy assessment completed. An energy assessment cannot be performed on a home during renovations or demolition or after new equipment has already been installed.

The energy assessment will reveal areas where you can potentially make improvements (called retrofits) to help lower your energy bills and increase home comfort.

Participants who complete a pre-energy assessment through the Home Efficiency Rebate will now be eligible for up to $5,000 back for participating. Any questions can be directed to [email protected] or by calling 1-855-659-0549.
- Schedule your pre energy assessment with any one of our Registered Energy Advisors (REA) listed below. When you successfully complete the upgrades, you will be reimbursed $550 for the cost of the pre and post assessment as part of your incentive cheque.
- Complete two or more of the recommended upgrades provided by the advisor. As the homeowner, you can work with a contractor of your choice.
- Book your post energy assessment with the same Register Energy Advisor to validate the work has been completed.
- Receive your incentive cheque in 8-10 weeks
